The airport is {{convert|10|km}} northwest of the city, and was commissioned in 2014 by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.[3][4] The Dutse VOR-DME (Ident: DUT) and non-directional beacon (Ident: DU) are located on the field.[5] See also
