Dörte Haftendorn (born March 25, 1948){{r|born}} is a German mathematician, mathematics educator, and textbook author who works as a professor at Leuphana University of Lüneburg.{{r|cv}} Education and careerHaftendorn earned her Ph.D. in 1975 from the Clausthal University of Technology. Her dissertation, Additiv kommutative und idempotente Halbringe mit Faktorbedingung [Additive, commutative, and idempotent semirings with the factor condition], concerned the theory of semirings and was supervised by Hanns J.
