Its jurisdiction includes Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shanghai [1]and the East Sea Fleet.[1] It consists of three group armies:the 72nd Group Army (formerly 1st group army), 71st Group Army (formerly 12th group army), and 73rd Group Army(formerly 31st group army).[2] The ground force headquarter of the Eastern theater command is located in Fuzhou, Fujian, China.[3] The joint command headquarters is located in Nanjing.[4] Its commander is Gen.
