All passed to the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board on 2 February 1920 when it took over the PMTT becoming the E-class retaining their running numbers.[1][2][3] In 1951, eight were sold to the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, 37-40 entering service in Geelong, 41/42 in Ballarat and 44/45 in Bendigo.[1] PreservationTwo have been preserved:
