Flanigan (born 1874) was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Arizona from September 28, 1921 to January 1, 1923. Flanigan served as deputy district attorney for Cochise County.[1] Flanigan ran as the Republican nominee for Supreme Court Justice in 1920 and lost against Democratic incumbent Archibald G. McAlister.[2] Governor Thomas Edward Campbell then appointed Flanigan to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Justice Albert C. Baker.[3] Flanigan did not run for re-election and Frank H. Lyman won the 1922 election unopposed.[4] References1. ^Tombstone Weekly Epitaph, March 24, 1907 P.3 {{authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Flanigan, Edward G.}}{{Arizona-stub}}{{US-judge-stub}}2. ^Healdsburg Tribune, Number 253, 2 September 1920 3. ^January 3, 1923, The Arizona Republic, p.12 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://azmemory.azlibrary.gov/cdm/compoundobject/collection/statepubs/id/13278/rec/1|title=State of Arizona official canvass, primary election [election returns] :: Arizona State Government Publications|publisher=}} 3 : Arizona Supreme Court justices|1874 births|Year of death missing |
