Eliyahu Brothers Postcards both series Postcards, who published the brothers of Matityahu Eliyahu and Yossef Eliyahu, from the early twenties to 1939.

Series include hundreds of images; Most of the images were views of Israel and some others were the leaders of the Zionist movement and Jewish settlement.

History

Matityahu and Yossef Eliyahu was born in Corfu to Malka and Abraham (Elia), active in the Zionist movement in Corfu. They arrived in 1914 to Ottoman Land of Israel and worked in a printing at Jaffa.

During World War I, in 1917, they were deported from Tel Aviv, with all other people, because being foreign nationals, especially nationals of Greece - State enemy of Turkey, they were persecuted, and had sent with hundreds of Jews in the city of Hamma in Syria, and then to Istanbul.

After the war, they returned to Mandatory Land of Israel and transferring the name to Eliyahu. They set up a stationery store at Jaffa, and another on Nahalat Binyamin Street in Tel Aviv. Later, they moved to Herzl Street.
