Guzmán is a Peruvian-American politician and social worker elected to represent Virginia's 31st House of Delegates district in Virginia's House of Delegates. Early life and careerGuzman was born in Peru, immigrated to the U.S., and became a social worker.[3] Guzman, Kelly Fowler, and Hala Ayala became the first Hispanic women elected to the House, all in Virginia's November 2017 election.[4] Their terms began in January 2018.
