She became known for appearing in Lifetime's reality show Dance Moms in 2016, joining during Season 6. She became part of the main cast in 2017 during Season 7. She is also on tour with 24/7 dance conventions and JUMP conventions. CareerWalmsley has been dancing since she was eighteen months old, and has become known in the young dancer's community for winning many regional and national titles. Prior to appearing on television, she studied at the Joffrey Ballet School. She created the web series 'The Brooke and Elliana Show' with pop singer Brooke Butler and in 2016, was invited to appear on the popular US reality TV show Dance Moms, alongside her mother, Yolanda, during Season 6. She became a permanent member of the cast during Season 7 in 2017, before leaving at the end of that year. [1] After competing with the Abby Lee Dance Company on the show, she was invited to participate in a national tour with fellow castmate Maesi Caes to teach dance masterclasses and give solo performances. At the end of 2017, Walmsley originated the lead role of Grace in the musical 'Dance Divas Nutcracker', based on Cheryl Burke's book series: Dance Divas. It made its off-Broadway premiere on the 13th of December.[2] The show was performed until the 17th of December at Theatre Row, New York City, where a portion of the money made went towards the charity 'Dancers with Cancer'. She has garnered a social media following, with over 700,000 followers on Instagram and 50,000 YouTube subscribers, as well as a following on the app Musical.ly. She has begun a career as a model after appearing in the dance magazine 'Dance Spirit Magazine'. In July 2017, she competed at the prestigious annual national dance competition The Dance Awards for the first time, held in Orlando, Florida. She finished in the Top Ten in the Mini Female Best Dancer category, out of 100+ young dancers competing in the category. In July 2018, representing the Michelle Latimer Dance Academy, Walmsley won the title of Mini Female Best Dancer at The Dance Awards Las Vegas, Nevada, besting 100+ dancers for the title. She became the third former Dance Moms cast member to win a Best Dancer title, after Kalani Hilliker won the Junior Female Best Dancer title in 2013 and Brynn Rumfallo won the Mini Female Best Dancer title in 2014. She participated in the first series of Juniors as a professional. She was partnered with Jason Maybaum and mentored by Emma Slater. The trio were eliminated at the end of week 5.
