Campb. }}Elymus texensis, commonly called Texas wildrye,[2] is a species of flowering plant in the grass family (Poaceae). It is native to United States, where it is endemic to the Edwards Plateau of Texas.[3][4] Its natural habitat is on calcareous bluffs in Juniperus woodlands and grassy areas.[3]Elymus texensis is a recently discovered and poorly known species. It was described to science in 2006.[5] It is currently only documented from three collections,[3] although further surveys will likely reveal more localities. It appears to be most morphologically similar to Elymus pringlei, which is found further south in Mexico.[5] References1. ^Elymus'>texensis NatureServe 2. ^{{PLANTS|id=ELTE3|taxon=Elymus texensis|accessdate=28 April 2018}} 3. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://herbarium.usu.edu/webmanual/|title=Elymus|website=Grass Manual on the Web|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170415015332/http://herbarium.usu.edu/webmanual/ |archive-date=April 28, 2017 |dead-url=no}} 4. ^{{BONAP|ref|genus=Elymus|species=texensis|accessdate=28 April 2018}} 5. ^1 {{cite journal |last1=Campbell |first1=Julian |last2= |first2= |date=2006 |title=Two new species of Elymus (Poaceae) in the southern U.S.A. and other notes on North American Elymus species |jstor=41968599 |journal= SIDA, Contributions to Botany |volume=22 |issue=1 |pages=485–494 |doi= }} 1 : Elymus (plant) |
