It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 13, 1989. "Emilie" was constructed in 1882 by Adelard Millet for Leonce Chauff.[3] It was named for Leonce's younger sister. The home was purchased in 1997 by the Baloney family, whose ancestors once worked as slaves on the plantation[4][1] References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://focus.nps.gov/AssetDetail/NRIS/88003135 | title =Emilie Plantation House |publisher=National Park Service| access-date= December 14, 2015}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Emilie Plantation}}{{Louisiana-NRHP-stub}}{{Louisiana-plantation-stub}}2. ^{{NRISref|version=2010a}} 3. ^https://www.lobservateur.com/2001/03/28/area-plantation-homes-to-open-to-benefit-timbermill-museum/ 4. ^https://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2017/06/carl_butch_baloney_businessman.html 4 : Plantations in Louisiana|Houses in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana|Houses on the National Register of Historic Places in Louisiana|National Register of Historic Places in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana |
