}}{{nihongo|Emery Hale}} (December 13, 1969 – January 28, 2006) was a professional wrestler who is best known for his appearances in WCW from 1998-2000.

Pro wrestling career

Hale played baseball early in his life. He had a tryout with the Baltimore Orioles. At the size of 6"9 and 350 pounds, he would decide to focus his career on wrestling. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1998 for World Wrestling Alliance{{citation needed|date=February 2018}} as he teamed up with Test in a couple of matches. He wrestled for Music City Wrestling as Lord Humongous.

During his time in WCW he wrestled on Nitro and WCW Saturday Night losing to Lex Luger, Barry Windham and Booker T. On February 2, 2000 he appeared on WCW Thunder as the Machine and lost to Diamond Dallas Page. Later that year, he left WCW.

On September 8, 2001 he lost to wrestling legend Abdullah the Butcher by disqualification for WWC in Puerto Rico.

In 2001, he signed with the X Wrestling Federation where he defeated Marty Jannetty, Horace Hogan and Greg Valentine. Valentine got his revenge by defeating Hale. On February 22, 2002 he lost to Vampiro.

After leaving XWF, he went on the wrestle for the independent circuit as Lord Humongus. He would retire after developing pneumonia stemming from a kidney transplant in 2003.

Illness and death

In 2003, Hale received a kidney transplant. By October 2003 he developed pneumonia. He was hospitalized in ICU of Tampa General Hospital. On January 28, 2006 Hale died of kidney failure at the age of 36. He had been hospitalized for a few years.
