It was described by John David Bradley in 1961. It is found on Guadalcanal.[1] The wingspan is about 16 mm. The forewings are white, with the anterior edge of the costa cream buff and with a small, fuscous discal stigma a little above the middle at one-third, and a similar stigma obliquely below in the plical fold, and a third at the end of the cell at about the middle. A subterminal line of small, fuscous, interneural dots is found around the apex and along the termen. The hindwings are white.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |first=Markku |last=Savela |url=http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/lecithoceridae/epimactis/ |title=Epimactis Meyrick, 1907 |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=September 25, 2017}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q13609731}}{{Lecithoceridae-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/bulletinofnatura10entolond#page/149/mode/1up Bulletin of the British Museum (Natural History) (Entomology) 10 (4): 149] 2 : Moths described in 1961|Epimactis |
