It will also connect to the Erie Canal trail via the flat New York Bike Route 517 along Lake Erie.[3] The trail features two old railroad tunnels: the 2868-foot-long (874 m) Rockland Tunnel and the 3350-foot-long (1021 m) Kennerdell Tunnel. The Kennerdell Tunnel is one of the longest rail-to-trail converted tunnels in the United States, and the 10th longest bicycle/pedestrian tunnel in the world.
