He played at representative level for Yorkshire, and at club level for Wakefield Trinity (Heritage № 213), as a Forward, including {{rlp|sr}}, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[5] Playing careerParkin made his début for Wakefield Trinity during October 1913, and he played his last match for Wakefield Trinity during March 1924. County honoursParkin won cap(s) for Yorkshire while at Wakefield Trinity.
