It blooms between September and March producing white-pink flowers.[1] The bark is white-grey to reddish brown in colour. The disjunct adult leaves have a lanceolate to falcate shape and are basally tapered. The thick conclorous blades are a glossy, green or grey-green colour supported by narrowly flattened or channelled petioles. When flowering a simple axillary conflorescence is produced with a three flowered umbellasters. Clavate buds form later followed by campanulate fruits with depressed discs.[2] The species is found on low-lying flats and on rocky hillsides in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia between Kalgoorlie and Norseman where it grows in loamy-gravelly soils.[1] The species was first formally described by the botanist Joseph Maiden in 1911 in the Journal of Natural Historical Science Society of Western Australia from samples collected by Maiden in 1909 from near Kalgoorlie.[2] One variation is known: Eucalyptus griffithsii var. angustiuscula.[2] See also{{Portal|Trees}}
