He represented the Philippines at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, 2017 Southeast Asian Games and 2011 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Astana and won the gold medals.[1] Amateur career"One of Asia's most highly regarded young boxers, Marcial won the 2011 International Boxing Association (amateur) Junior World Championships in impressive fashion just three years after he took up training for the first time. Awarded the Best Asia Youth Boxer of the Year two years later, the 19-year-old was heavily praised at the time by Filipino boxing legend Romeo Brin.
