Fernanda Melchor Pinto (Boca del Río, Veracruz, Mexico, 1982) is a Mexican writer and journalist[1].

Bio

Melchor obtained a degree on Journalism from Universidad Veracruzana[2] where she was Coordinator of Communication of the Veracruz-Del Río campus.

She has published fiction and non fiction short stories and novels in publications as La Palabra y el Hombre, Punto de Lectura, Excélsior, Replicante, Reverso, Generación, Revista de Literatura Mexicana Contemporánea and Milenio semanal. She began her career as writer in 2013 with the publishing of Aquí no es Miami y Falsa liebre being this last her first novel. Her Temporada de Huracanes[3] -a fiction novel based on the crisis of forbidden disappearance on her state, Veracruz, was featured as one of the best novels in Mexico in 2017[4][5][6]

In 2015 she was included in a Conaculta's anthology as one of the featured Mexican authors under 40 years old[7].
