释义 |
A flying duck race (Indonesian: Pacu Itiak) is a tradition in Payakumbuh, West Sumatra.[1] Young female ducks (4–6 months old) that cannot fully fly are used. Races cover distances ranging from 600 meters to 2,000 meters.[1] Races are held weekly.[2] The races are held in different areas with rice fields and streets used as venues.[1] The ducks are numbered on their bills. The races are accompanied with music and parade activities.[1] The winning duck must fly the race course and across the finish line.[1] References1. ^1 2 3 4 [https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/travel--fowl-play-in-payakumbuh-duck-racing-is-the-unique-sport-of-west-sumatra-sue-nelson-joined-the-spectators-1474357.html TRAVEL / Fowl play in Payakumbuh: Duck racing is the unique sport of West Sumatra] by Sue Nelson 21 February 1993 2. ^Exploring West Sumatra, the Tour de Singkarak way by Syofiardi Bachyul Jb, The Jakarta Post July 28, 2013 1 : West Sumatra culture |
