It is located about .4 mi. WNW of the junction of US 30 and County Rd. 300. The station is a {{convert|24x80|ft|m}} variation on the standard Union Pacific 24x64 plan, expanded to be longer in 1902 after the move. A Western Union Telegraph office was located in the station, in addition to the depot having a passenger area, a freight storage area, and living quarters for the station master and his family.[3] The listing also includes an outhouse/coal storage outbuilding.[2] References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://www.nps.gov/nr/feature/places/13000919.htm |title=Fossil Oregon Short Line Depot}} {{National Register of Historic Places}}{{Wyoming-NRHP-stub}}2. ^1 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=13000919}}|title=National Register of Historic Places registration: Fossil Oregon Short Line Depot / 48LN4730|publisher=National Park Service|author=Danielle Schmidt |date=2013 |accessdate=October 18, 2017}} With {{NRHP url|id=13000919|photos=y|title=18 photos from 2012}}. 4 : Railway stations on the National Register of Historic Places in Wyoming|Union Pacific Railroad stations|Railway stations opened in 1902|National Register of Historic Places in Lincoln County, Wyoming |
