She is currently a full professor at the Malaghan Institute at the Victoria University of Wellington.[1] Academic careerAfter a PhD at the University of Padova, Italy, Ronchese worked at the National Institutes of Health, United States and at the Basel Institute for Immunology, Switzerland, before moving to the Malaghan Institute 1994.[1] Ronchese's research focuses on dendritic cells[2] a kind of immune cell[1] and includes allergic response work.[3][4] In 2012 Ronchese was a finalist in the NEXT Woman of the Year.[5] Personal lifeRonchese is married to Graham Le Gros, who also works at the Malaghan Institute.[6] Selected works
