{{lang|fr|France Nature Environnement}} is the French federation of associations for the protection of nature and the environment.[1] Created in 1968 as the {{lang|fr|Fédération française des sociétés de protection de la nature}} (French Federation of Societies for the Protection of Nature), it was recognised as being {{lang|fr|d'utilité publique}} (having public benefits) in 1976. It speaks on behalf of a movement of 3000 associations, grouped into 80 member organisations in France and its overseas territories. The logo of the Federation is the hedgehog, and its motto is {{lang|fr|Partout où la nature a besoin de nous}} ("Everywhere nature needs us").
