}}Frederick William Fisher (11 April 1910 – 26 July 1944) was an English professional football forward who played in the Football League for Barnsley, Chesterfield and Millwall.[1][2] He won a wartime international cap for England in a 4–1 victory over Wales on 16 April 1941.[3]

Personal life

Fisher was married and served as an air gunner in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War.[4] He was killed in action while serving with 166 Squadron over France in July 1944 and was buried in Taingy Communal Cemetery.[4][5]
