Gail Kern Paster (born 1944) is an American Shakespeare scholar, historian and writer. LifeShe was born on 8 November 1944. She graduated from North Shore High School (New York) in 1962. CareerShe completed her bachelor's degree from Smith College and her PhD from Yale University.[1][2] She has taught at the George Washington University from 1974 to 2002.[3] From 2002 to 2011, she was the director of the Folger Shakespeare Library.[4] She has served as editor of the Shakespeare Quarterly magazine.[5] BibliographyHer notable books include:[6]
