It was held on December 3, 2018 and broadcast on December 9.[3] EventMicheal Burg, who had previously produced the Teen Choice Awards,[4][5] developed the Gamers' Choice Awards with Victor Borachuk, who departed during production citing creative differences.[1] Online public voting was held to decide the winners was held between November 27 and December 1.[4][5] Two previews shows were held on November 17 and November 18.[6] The show was held on December 3.
