George Kambosos Jnr (born June 14, 1993), known as Ferocious, is a Greek-Australian professional boxer in the lightweight division. He is currently WBA Oceania and IBF Pan Pacific lightweight champion. He is known as Manny Pacquiao's main sparring partner since fighting Jeff Horn in 2017.

Career

In December 2016, he captured the WBA Oceania Title by beating world number 9 Brandon Ogilvie.[1][2] He then went on to face Qamil Balla in May 2017,[3] whom he defeated by unanimous decision in a ten-round fight.[4] 5 months later, he knocked out Krai Setthaphon in the 9th round and won the WBA Oceania and IBF Pan Pacific titles in the lightweight divisions.[5] In June 2017, Kambosos was tabbed by Manny Pacquiao as the main sparring partner in preparing for his fight with Jeff Horn[6] and has remained to be Pacquiao's main sparring partner for his fights after Horn as well.[7] In April 2018, Kambosos signed a promotional contract with DiBella Entertainment.[8] In May 2018, he made his debut in the US[9] and knocked out Jose Forero in just 1 minute and 48 seconds.[10] On 19 January 2019, Kambosos defeated Rey Perez via unanimous decision in his second fight on US soil.[11]
