In 2016, Stanway was nominated for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. In 2017, she was nominated for PFA Women's Young Player of the Year. In June 2018, she was named in the UEFA Women’s Champions League squad of the season. [4] CareerClubStanway started her career at Blackburn Rovers where she played through the youth system and eventually the senior squad playing in the Women’s Premier League. On July 18th, Stanway completed a move to Manchester City. On 29 July 2015, Stanway made her senior debut for Manchester City as a substitute in a 5–0 win over Durham in the Continental Cup.[5] On 27 August, she scored her first goal in a 2–0 victory against Everton.[6] She ended her maiden campaign with the club’s Rising Star award.[7] In 2016, she won the Nissan Goal of the Season award.[8] In January 2017, she signed a new contract with the club.[9] InternationalIn 2016, Stanway captained England U17s to a bronze medal in the Euros and a first ever World Cup campaign. In 2018, Stanway played a pivotal role in England U20s World Cup campaign.
