Chan (born 1953/1954) is a Hong Kong-born American billionaire, and the brother of fellow billionaire Ronnie Chan.[2] They run the Hang Lung Group, of which he is a director. Early lifeGerald Chan is the son of T.H. Chan. He earned BS and MS degrees in Engineering from UCLA, and a master's degree in Medical Radiological Physics and doctorate in Radiation Biology from Harvard University.[3] In the 1970s, he became a US citizen.[4] CareerIn 1987, he co-founded Morningside, a private equity group.[3] He is a director of Hang Lung Group, Stealth Peptides, Advanced Cell Diagnostics, Matrivax, Vaccine Technologies Inc, and Oxyrane.[4] When his family gave Harvard School of Public Health $350 million, the largest donation ever given to Harvard, the school was renamed the Harvard T.H.
