Gladys Yelvington Parsons (November 29, 1891 – February 11, 1957[1]) was a ragtime composer and friend of May Aufderheide.[2] Parsons was born in Elwood, Indiana.[1] She is best known for "Piffle Rag".[3] After she married Leo Parsons, who ran a cigar store,[4] she fell into relative obscurity.
