It stars Rajendra Prasad, Karthik and Ramya Krishna in the lead roles, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was dubbed into Tamil as Kaadhal Oivathillai. The film was recorded as a flop at the box office. The film's initial title was Janaranjani. The audio cassette / LP Record bears the name Janaranjani[2] PlotGopal Rao (Rao Gopal Rao) a film director, plans to introduce his son Raghu (Karthik) as a hero and he selects a beautiful village girl Seeta (Ramya Krishna) as a heroine. Actually, Seeta is brought by her maternal uncle Ranga (Rajendra Prasad) and she also has vagabond brother Balaji (Balaji). Ranga loves Seeta from childhood and wants to marry her, but she doesn't have such an intention. Ganga (Ashwini), who runs liquor shop in their area, also loves Ranga, but he always ridicules her. During the shooting period, Raghu & Seeta truly fall in love and also get married at the shooting spot by playing a drama. Gopala Rao does not accept it and creates a status barrier between them. After that, Ranga learns regarding Raghu & Seeta's love affair, so, he tries to marry Seeta forcibly, but seeing the wedding chain (Mangalasutram) on Seeta's neck, he recedes back. Depressed, Ranga is consoled by Gang when he too loves her. Meanwhile, the shooting is about to complete, Balaji takes a huge amount as the advance for Seeta's upcoming protects but she refuses to act anymore. Balaji spoils the amount and he has a life threat from the producers. So, he decides to eliminate Raghu and makes a sketch at the shooting spot, he puts real bombs instead of duplicate in a fight scene. Ranga is been informed regarding it through Ganga and he immediately rushes. But its too late the danger dashes, Ranga & Seeta protect Raghu, placing their lives at risk, when Gopal Rao understands their virtue and accepts Seeta as his daughter-in-law. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the remarriage of Raghu & Seeta. Cast
