Gurung inspired the Indigenous Mongol People of Nepal to fight against the racial discrimination of Brahmins and Kshetris (Indo-Aryans).[1] He is the founder and president of Mongol National Organisation (MNO) and the first pioneer of republican Nepal.[2] MNO was established Gurung on January 1, 1989 when he was in Bhadragol prison.
