OverviewWomen's College Srinagar is situated in the heart of state summer capital of J&K state, Srinagar. It is a premier institution of Higher Learning for women in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.It was established in 1950.The college is affiliated with the Cluster University Srinagar and UGC under 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act 1956.The college has a glorious past with excellent academic track record and has played a vital role for education and empowerment of women in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.At present the college is one of the few colleges in the country and so-far the only Degree College in the State of Jammu and Kashmir with NAAC Accredited Grade A, a testimony to the academic excellence and quality culture achieved and maintained by the College.The College joined the elite club of institution with facilities of satellite based education by setting up of an Edusat Hub for Kashmir valley in the College.
