Some notable publications were George Bernard Shaw's Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant and A. E. Housman's A Shropshire Lad.[1] Richards declared bankruptcy in 1905. He continued to own the firm until 1926, when he declared bankruptcy a second time; the firm was renamed to Richards Press, and then bought by Martin Secker. The firm would later be bought by John Baker, and finally A & C Black.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |title=Grant Richards (1872–1948) |work= |url=https://www.doaks.org/resources/bliss-tyler-correspondence/annotations/grant-richards |date= |accessdate=2017-10-18| archiveurl= |archivedate= |deadurl= |df= }} {{DEFAULTSORT:Grant Richards}}{{UK-publish-company-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |title=FOB: Firms Out of Business |work= |url=http://norman.hrc.utexas.edu/Watch/fob_search_results_next.cfm?FOBFirmName=G&locSTARTROW=51 |date= |accessdate=2017-10-18| archiveurl= |archivedate= |deadurl= |df= }} 3 : Book publishing companies of the United Kingdom|Publishing companies established in 1897|1897 establishments in the United Kingdom |
