The house was built in 1909, and typifies the southern Alabama vernacular house, with a hip roof and wrap-around porch. A gabled dormer is centered on the façade, and the porch has slender columns with elaborate brackets. Decorative woodwork continues inside, including Queen Anne fireplace mantels.[2] The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.[1] References{{commons category}}1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} {{National Register of Historic Places in Alabama}}{{Alabama-NRHP-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|last1=Qualls |first1=Shirley |last2=Bailey |first2=Michael |last3=Dolan |first3=Tom |title=Gaston-Perdue House |url={{NRHP url|id=86001805}} |work=Multiple Resources of Greenville |publisher=National Park Service |accessdate=December 29, 2017 |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20171229215005/https://npgallery.nps.gov/pdfhost/docs/NRHP/Text/86001805.pdf |archivedate=December 29, 2017 |deadurl=no |date=January 1986}} See also: {{cite web|title=Accompanying photos |url={{NRHP url|id=86001805|photos=y}} |accessdate=December 29, 2017 |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20171229215035/https://npgallery.nps.gov/pdfhost/docs/NRHP/Photos/86001805.pdf |archivedate=December 29, 2017 |deadurl=no}} 4 : National Register of Historic Places in Butler County, Alabama|Houses on the National Register of Historic Places in Alabama|Houses completed in 1909|Houses in Butler County, Alabama |
