Bishopric

The diocese of Tamazuca ({{lang-la|Dioecesis Tamazucensis|link=no}}) is a suppressed and titular see of the Roman Catholic Church.[2]

[3] It is presumed that the diocese of Tamazuca,[4] was centered on the ancient town Grimidi in today's Algeria.[5]

Today Tamazuca survives as a titular bishopric and the current bishop is Peter Chung Soon-taek, of Seoul.[6] Known bishops have included:

  • Daciano (fl.411) (A Donatist bishop who attended the Catholic/Donatist conference of 411.)
  • Lucio (f.l484) A Catholic bishop who attended the 484 AD synod called by Huneric, king of the Vandals.
  • John Bernard McDowell (1966–2010)
  • Peter Chung Soon-taek, (2013–current)
