It was the first planned residential colony of the Peshawar city.[1] It is located to the east of Nishterabad.[2] OverviewGulbahar is located off Grand Trunk Road and is a residential area of Peshawar city.[1][3] The main attractions of the Gulbahar are Daewoo bus Terminal,[4] Government Technical And Vocational Centre[6] and Government City Girls College.[7] Majority of the people living in Gulbahar are Pakistanis. Most are Muslims with small minority are Christians[5], Sikhs and Hindus[6]. Major languages are Pashto, Hindko and Urdu. Administrative area and census informationGulbahar is part of Pakistan National Assembly seat NA-31 (Peshawar-V) while for KP Provincial Assembly, it is part of Constituency PK-77 former PF-2 (Peshawar-2).[7] According to 1998 consensus, the population of Gulbahar was 18330.[8] Educational facilitiesGulbahar is home to some good educational institutes.
