It is endemic to Australia. The annual herb has an erect or prostrate habit typically growing to a height of {{convert|1|to|30|cm|in|1}} and form a mound up to {{convert|0.5|m|ft|1}} across. The leaves are {{convert|2|to|7|cm|in|1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|2|to|3|cm|in|1|abbr=on}} wide.[1] It blooms from September to November producing yellow-white flowers.[2] It is found around salt lakes and on saline flats in inland areas of the Wheatbelt and Goldfields-Esperance regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy, loam or clay soils.[2] The species was first formally described by the botanist Ludwig Diels in 1904 in the work Botanische Jahrbucher fur Systematik, Pflanzengeschichte und Pflanzengeographie.[3] References1. ^{{cite book|title=Wildflowers of Southern Western Australia|author1= Margaret G.
