}} The Guri sea catfish, also called the Marine catfish,[2] (Genidens genidens) is a species of catfish in the family Ariidae.[3] It was described by Georges Cuvier in 1829, originally under the genus Pimelodus.[1] It is known from southern South American rivers connected to the Atlantic Ocean.
