The video cassette features a $5.00 mail-in rebate with purchases of Downy Fabric Softeners. The release is backed by an $8.5 million promotional campaign. It features a 32-page fact-filled illustrated booklet and a special supplement with behind-the-scenes footage and deleted songs.
- November 15 - Batman goes on sale less than six months after its theatrical release for a reduced $24.95 suggested retail price leading to a change in the sell-through market.[1][2]
