词条 Hatif
释义

  1. References

Hatif ({{Lang-ar|هَاتِف|lit=calling, shouting|}}) is a voice, that can be heard but without one's discovering the body that made it.[1]Al-Jahiz wrote, the Bedouin believed the jinn could be used as transmitters of important messages. This message would just be heard by the receiver in realtime, without seeing the speaker. He stated the belief in 'Hatif' was widespread among the Bedouin and they would be perplexed about people, who exclude the possibility of Hatif.[2] Al-Masudi focused on the psychological backgrounds of this phenomena and explained the Hatif would rather be a hallucination caused by loneliness.[3]
