H. Byron Earhart (born 7 January 1935) is an American historian and author. LifeHe was born on 7 January 1935. CareerHe studied under Mircea Eliade and Joseph M. Kitagawa at the University of Chicago, where he received a doctorate in History of Religions.[1] He is currently a professor emeritus in the Department of Comparative Religion at Western Michigan University.[2] His textbook on Japanese religion is now considered a classic and is used in universities all over the world.[3] BibliographyHis notable books are:[4][5]
