词条 | Healthcare in Kuwait |
释义 |
Kuwait has a state-funded healthcare system, which provides treatment without charge to holders of a Kuwaiti passport. A public insurance scheme exists to provide reduced cost healthcare to non-citizens. Private healthcare providers also run medical facilities in the country, available to members of their insurance schemes.[1] The government maintains the Kuwaiti Health Office in London to deal with the funding of treatment for Kuwaiti citizens in the UK. £13 million was embezzled from it between 2009 and 2016 by four accountants who worked there in collaboration with 20 doctors working in British hospitals.[2] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.embassyofkuwait.ca/pages/LivingInKuwait/HealthServices.htm|title=HEALTH SERVICES|publisher=Embassy of Kuwait in Canada|accessdate=16 March 2013|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20130905122056/http://www.embassyofkuwait.ca/pages/LivingInKuwait/HealthServices.htm|archivedate=5 September 2013|df=}} {{health-stub}}2. ^{{cite news|title=Four arrested as millions stolen from Kuwait office – Joint efforts bust gang in UK|url=http://www.arabtimesonline.com/news/four-arrested-millions-stolen-kuwait-office-joint-efforts-bust-gang-uk/|accessdate=12 October 2017|publisher=Arab Times|date=5 January 2017}} 2 : Health in Kuwait|Healthcare by country |
