It is located near the University of Crete. The indoor hall can be used to host many events , with its primary use being to host basketball games, concerts and the graduation ceremonies of the university. HistoryAlthough its small size the arena has hosted games from many major basketball tournaments. The FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship twice (2014 and 2017) and the 2015 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
