On August 14, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo earned a songwriting credit for the song due to the similarities in song melody and verse structure with In The Garage which comes from Weezer's debut record The Blue Album which was released in 1994. The video begins with a fake production company logo called LaBrawner Productions that has a slight resemblance to the famous RKO Pictures logo and starts out in the desert and the title screen zooms in saying Simple Plan in Hoodie, which zooms in even more. The band are standing in the middle of the desert reading papers and Pierre sorting out the tank while singing to the camera. However, there is trouble ahead as the villain played by Patrick Langolis orders the band to participate in a war training scheme and use weapons such as guns, and bombs. The band then have a fight with the villain a few members get themselves into a spot of trouble including Seb Lefabvre blowing up the tank. The villain them comes to a head when the band sing that if he wants it back, then take it back. The villain then throws up the bomb the air and the bomb lands in the stone and blows up the villain while the band walks away victorious. The band then high fives each other while heading back home on a helicopter, ending the video. One fan mentioned on Twitter was that the band had Linkin Park-ed their sound and wanted them to go back to their pop punk sound. One person even branded the song as more of a Chainsmokers featuring Pierre Bouvier song than a Simple Plan one, comparing the song to Closer by The Chainsmokers.
