It features German vocalist Bunker Wolf, as well as instrumentalists Edmund Xavier and Clay Ruby.[1] The band has released three studio albums, Celestial Joy (2011),[2] Nightly Wreaths (2012)[3] and Gold of Days (2014). Described as a post-punk[1] and dark wave band,[5] Horrid Red "mixes dark new-wave with a pop sensibility,"[3] incorporating a "noirish krautrock and fuzz-wreathed songcraft."[7] The band cites Cabaret Voltaire, Savage Republic, The Fall, Public Image Ltd. and Can as influences.
