The Hrnjica brothers descend from village Udbina in Lika. Their father came from Asia to Udbina and married a daughter of the local nobleman, Hurem-aga Kozlić.[3] There are several toponyms in the region of Velika Kladuša named after Hrnjica brothers, ie Well of Hrnjica ({{lang-bs|Hrnjičin bunar}}) or the Tower of Hrnjica ({{lang-bs|Hrnjičina kula}}).[4] According to the legends, Mujo was killed by his blood brother Katarica Meho, Halil was killed during some rebellion in Banja Luka while Omer was ambushed and killed by some hajduk harambaša.[5] The grave of Mujo Hrnjica is in Petrova Gora.[6] List of songsThe songs about Hrnjica brothers include:[7][8]
AlbaniaSome Albanian epic poems contain shared motifs with the Bosnian rhapsodies of the Hrnjica brothers. Among the differences is the lack of strong Muslim colours in the Albanian ones.[11] The Mujo-Halil cycle has mixed Bosnian and Albanian traits.[12] References1. ^Драгутин Мићовић, Северноарбанаске и српскохрватске десетерачке јуначке народне песме, Извор: "Становништво словенског поријекла у Албанији" - Зборник радова са међународног научног скупа одржаног на Цетињу 21, 22. и 23. јуна 1990. године {{DEFAULTSORT:Derzelez Alija}}2. ^{{cite book|last=Mujezinović|first=Mehmed|title=Islamska epigrafika u Bosni i Hercegovini: Bosanska Krajina, zapadna Bosna i Hercegovina|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=y0PK7kkFwuQC|year=1982|publisher=Veselin Masleša|page=82|quote=Kladuši je 1641. godine bio harambaša Mustafa Hrnjica, a uz njega se spominju njegova braća i Kozličić Mustafa.
