HistoryEarly YearsHurrdat Social Media was founded in 2010 by formerNebraska Football players Blake Lawrence and Adi Kunalic.[2] The company was initially focused on providing college athletes with help to improve their social media visibility prior to turning pro. As Hurrdat Social Media grew, Kunalic and Lawrence recognized a growing need for businesses in Lincoln to improve their own online presence, which led to expanding the client roster to managing and expanding the social media profiles for local businesses and non-profits, in addition to athletes.{{cn|date=August 2018}} Opendorse & B2 InteractiveIn March 2013 Hurrdat Social Media decided to split operations into two.[3] Hurrdat Social Media continued in its original format and remained focused on helping businesses grow online through social media marketing, but it would leave the athlete endorsement portion of its business to a newly formed spinoff, opendorse[4]. Kunalic stayed on at Hurrdat Social Media, managing day-to-day operations of the company’s social media marketing campaigns with local, regional, and national clients, while Lawrence left to focus full-time on building opendorse. In August of 2014, just over a year after the launch of Opendorse, Hurrdat Social Media was acquired by Omaha, Nebraska based digital marketing company, B2 Interactive,[5][6][7] which was co-founded by Bill Hipsher[8] and Brandon Taylor. 2015 - TodayIn 2015, Kunalic’s role in the day-to-day operations of Hurrdat Social Media ended as he joined Opendorse full time.
