}}Hygrophoropsis purpurascens is a species of fungus in the family Hygrophoropsidaceae. Originally described by Miles Joseph Berkeley and Moses Ashley Curtis in 1869 as Marasmius purpurascens, it was transferred to the genus Hygrophoropsis by Richard Dennis in 1952.
