He made his World Championships debut in 2013, but was disqualified in the 50 kilometres event. The same thing happened in the 20 kilometres event at the 2014 European Championships. He then finished 24th at the 2015 World Championships and seventh at the 2016 Olympic Games, both in the 50 kilometres.
