HistoryThe original building was built in 1889[4] but was destroyed in a raid in the city. Between 1911 and 1914 a new church was built in Gothic style. In 1945 during World War II the church was bombed and was replaced by a simpler structure. In 1959 its reconstruction began, which ending in May 1961. ActivitiesAll Masses and otherreligious services in the cathedral are offered in Mandarin Chinese. TransportationThe church is accessible within walking distance west of Shuanglian Station of Taipei Metro. See also
