Geography and hydrology
Inchiquin Lough measures about {{convert|1.5|km|1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|1|km|1|abbr=on}} wide. It is about {{convert|15|km|0|abbr=on}} north of Ennis near the village of Corofin. The lake lies along the River Fergus.[4]
Natural history
Fish species in Inchiquin Lough include brown trout, pike, rudd, perch, tench.[4] The lake is part of the East Burren Complex Special Area of Conservation.[8]
